Awesome DIY Cleaner! How to Clean Grout in 1 Minute

Keeping tile grout clean can be a challenge, but there's a straightforward and natural solution that few people know about. This method is not only effective but also uses ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Here’s how you can clean your grout and tiles to make them look fresh and new again.

Ingredients You'll Need

Baking Soda

- 2 tablespoonsHydrogen Peroxide - 1 tablespoonDishwashing Detergent (optional, for grease)Vinegar (optional, for hard water deposits)

Step-by-Step Cleaning Process

Prepare the Cleaning Paste

Start by taking a small bowl and adding 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Baking soda is a mild abrasive that helps to scrub away dirt without damaging the grout. Next, add 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to the baking soda. Hydrogen peroxide acts as a bleaching agent and helps to lift stains and discoloration from the grout.

Mix the Paste

Stir the mixture well until it forms a thick paste. If the paste seems too thick and difficult to spread, add a little more hydrogen peroxide until you achieve a workable consistency. The goal is to have a paste that can be easily applied but not so runny that it drips everywhere.

Apply the Paste

Using a toothbrush or a similar small brush, apply the paste directly onto the grout lines and the tiles. A toothbrush is ideal because its bristles can get into the grout lines and scrub effectively.

Make sure to cover all the grout lines thoroughly.

Let It Sit

Allow the paste to sit on the grout and tiles for about 5 minutes. This waiting period allows the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to work on breaking down the grime and stains.

Scrub the Tiles

After 5 minutes, use the toothbrush to start scrubbing the tiles and grout lines. You should notice that the grout begins to lift and clean up quite effectively.
