Known for his portrayal of Highlander Jamie Fraser, Heughan has endured many difficult scenes, yet it wasn't the intense season one finale that he labeled as his worst.

Behind the Scenes of Outlander

"Outlander," a Starz drama that has been captivating audiences for a decade, tells the compelling love story of Jamie Fraser and World War II nurse Claire Fraser, played by Caitriona Balfe.

With its blend of romance, history, and supernatural elements, the series has become a favorite among fans. However, the beautiful landscapes and intense storylines come with their own set of challenges for the cast and crew.

The Unexpected Worst Experience

During a Vanity Fair game aimed at testing how well Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe know each other, Heughan was asked about his worst experience on the set of "Outlander.

" Balfe guessed, “Was it being stuck on the boat with no toilet or food for a full day?” Heughan confirmed this was indeed a terrible experience, calling it “pretty horrific.”

Balfe then mentioned another challenging moment: “Was it the seven days shooting those terrible scenes in the brothel?” To which Heughan laughed, acknowledging there were quite a few tough days on set.

The Season One Finale Trauma

While discussing difficult scenes, Heughan referred to the season one finale as the most challenging.
