Robot Concepts on Fire in A-share Market: Behind the 75% Annual Increase, a $6,000 Humanoid Robot Becomes a New Engine
In the current capital market, Chinese robot-related stocks are experiencing an unprecedented boom, with such high heat and strong upward momentum that investors can't help but pay attention. So far, the annual increase of relevant concept stocks has soared to 75%, and a humanoid robot priced at only $6,000 is becoming a new powerful catalyst for this wave of capital enthusiasm.
Looking back on the development of the robot concept in the A-share market, it can be regarded as a history of industrial evolution full of ups and downs.
Since the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guiding Opinions on the Innovative Development of Humanoid Robots" in 2023, clarifying the priority application directions of robots in special, manufacturing, and people's livelihood fields, the east wind of policies has blown the horn of this round of market conditions. At that time, superimposed with policy dividends such as "intelligent manufacturing", the robot sector welcomed its first systematic rise.
Technically, the continuous iterations of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot in actions, such as stable walking and precise grasping, as well as the AI + robot technology demonstrated by NVIDIA at the GTC conference, greatly stimulated the market's imagination space, driving the A-share robot index to rise by 35% in early 2024. Domestic core component enterprises such as Harmonic Drive (reducer) and Inovance Technology (servo system) also saw a rapid increase in valuation due to the expectation of domestic substitution.
From the second half of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, as Tesla announced that Optimus was planned to be mass-produced at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, and news of many domestic enterprises such as EFORT and Shuanglin Co., Ltd. releasing prototypes or samples came out, the market's expectation for robot mass production was instantly ignited, thus entering the "expectation speculation" stage.
