Fans of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton are in for a disappointment. Showrunner Jess Brownell has confirmed that Season 4 of the beloved period drama won't be released until 2026. This unexpected delay has left fans speculating about the next lead character and eagerly awaiting more updates.
The anticipation for Bridgerton Season 4 has been building, but the wait just got longer.
Jess Brownell, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, revealed that while scripts are being finalized, the production timeline has been extended. "We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited and then they have to be dubbed into every language," Brownell explained. Despite efforts to speed up the process, the complexity of production means fans won't see new episodes until 2026.
Brownell emphasized that the priority remains on delivering the best possible season. "The writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range," she added. The meticulous attention to detail in both writing and production is what makes Bridgerton a standout series, but it also contributes to the lengthy gaps between seasons.
