Elon Musk Buys $35 Million Secret Compound for His 11 Kids & Their Moms

In a move that has stirred both intrigue and concern, Elon Musk has reportedly acquired a sprawling compound in Austin, Texas, specifically designed for his 11 children and their mothers. This bold purchase raises questions about the intentions behind such an arrangement, as it appears to be part of Musk’s desire to foster a more interconnected family life.

An Unexpected Investment: Why a Secret Compound?

The New York Times broke the news, revealing that the Tesla CEO, who is 53, has spent a staggering $35 million on adjoining properties. These homes are not just luxurious; one is a vast 14,400-square-foot mansion reminiscent of a Tuscan villa, while the other is a six-bedroom house located just behind it. Sources indicate that Musk often stays at a third property, a mere 10-minute walk away, whenever he is in town.

Musk’s determination to keep this purchase under wraps is evident. He reportedly required the sellers to sign nondisclosure agreements, a move that underscores his desire for privacy. Additionally, sources claim he offered up to 70% more than the asking price, indicating the lengths he is willing to go to secure his family's living arrangements.

A Family in Transition: Who's Moving In?

Currently, one of the mothers, Shivon Zilis, who shares three children with Musk, has moved into the compound along with their kids. Meanwhile, Claire Boucher, known as Grimes, who also has three children with Musk, remains embroiled in a custody battle and has yet to take up residence. Justine Musk, his first wife and mother to five of his children, is also not part of this new living situation.
