Kevin Costner is refusing to let his character, John Dutton, be written off from the popular TV show Yellowstone. The conflict between Costner and the show's creator Taylor Sheridan resulted in the show's cancellation. However, even after the announcement, Costner declared he would not return for filming unless he approves of John Dutton's ending. This is because he does not want his character to suffer the same fate as Patrick Dempsey's character in Grey's Anatomy. Sheridan has already drafted future episodes without John Dutton, but finding middle ground is necessary for a proper end to the show.
